Comments From Cyberspace

I predict that Sarah "Caribou Barbie" Palin, after she gets her ass handed to her on election day, will use her new notoriety to get a show of her own. If she succeeds in seducing a network and sponsors into backing her, her show will be a short-lived disaster and she'll get fat, cranky, drunk and abandon her family to run away with the kid who knocked up her daughter.

Look for McCain to announce he's for a single-payer national health plan, transferring the Pentagon budget to infrastructure renewal and clean renewable energy and hiking taxes on incomes above $250,000. Oh, and he'll claim to be an African-American man, but that the VietCong beat the black out of him. Sarah Palin will promise free 24/7 fellatio service to white male voters. His (McCain's) poll numbers are dropping faster than Ann Coulter's panties at a Welcome Home party for the 5th Fleet!

......overheard on the Straight Talk Express, "Hey, look we're on the Road to Nowhere!"

Why does everything hang on a senator from Arizona? Shouldn't it be Bush who is handling this? (The financial mess)

McCain is in full meltdown. This is not going to be pretty.

Under the pressure of the financial crisis, one presidential candidate is behaving like a flustered rookie playing in a league too high. It is not Barack Obama.

John McCain recently blamed Barack Obama for the Wall Street mess. Stunning. The truth is the politics of the economy can be likened to a bus. The bus driver is the Bush Administration, and the rest of us, including the Democrats in Congress, are the passengers. Question: If the bus driver drives the bus off the cliff, how is that the fault of the passengers?..............Jim Gilbert

McCain needs to read his prepared rehearsed remarks. Is he senile or just incompetent to campaign? Impulsive and over the hill is a terrible choice for President. .......DAVID LAMBERT

I want to be clear and speak directly to those of you who LOVED that Palin interview. You're an idiot !

Don't you get it? I'm not insulting Sarah Palin, SHE IS INSULTING ME.

I thought he looked gracious and presidential; others may think he looked insufficiently tough. I think Obama more than held his own in this first debate, but if you're looking for a grumpy, sarcastic put-down artist as president, your choice is quite clear.

And just for fun:

Paul Begala calls Bush a 'high-functioning moron'
